Sunburst Stables offers guided trail rides into the Chattahoochee National Forest on beautiful mountain trails. Rides are suitable for any experience level, and riders 7 and older ride on their own horse. Riders under 7 ride double with a parent. Rides do allow trotting when appropriate. Custom rides are available which include trotting and cantering. Weight limit is 285lbs. 

• One hour moonshine still ride -  $40.00 per person  Trail takes riders to an old moonshine still on a  scenic 3 mile, mountain ride with streams and wooded trails. Departs 10am, 1pm and 3pm daily.
• One hour family ride - $40.00 per person   This trail is great for family with children under 7yrs old. Double riders welcome and will enjoy the leasurely pace of this ride. A gently rolling trail that passes by our one-of-a-kind miniature animal farm . Pace is walking only. Great for the little riders. Double riders $10.00 (ages 3-6 only) Departs 10aam, 1pm and 3pm daily.
• 1 1/2 hour mountain ride - $50.00 per person   This is a beautiful ride that winds through the Batesville mountains.  Steeper terrain than the one hour, it gives the riders a little more challenge than the one hour ride. Trotting is allowed, but is dependent on the least experienced rider.  Departs 10am, 1pm and 3pm daily.

• 2 hour mountain ride - $60.00 per person   This ride accesses the same trails as the shorter rides but penetrates the forest deeper for a total of 7-9 miles. This ride can be customized to allow trotting and cantering for the more comfortable riders. (ask for info) Departs 10am, 1pm and 3pm daily.
• 2 hour family adventure ride - $60.00 per person (double rider $20.00) This is a great family half day trip. Great for all ages. Ride the trail to the miniature animal farm, stop for fishing at 3 stocked ponds and enjoy a watermelon (when in season) or snack, and meet the animals up close. Departs 10am, 1pm and 3pm daily.
• 3 hour sunset ride - $100.00 per person  A beautiful end to a day. This ride takes you through the forest to the highest mountain in our area where we stop for a snack and watch the evening fade. Upon mounting, ride back to the farm in the sunset. This ride can be customized for trotting and cantering. Call for departure time.
• 4 hour lunch ride - $100.00 per person   This all day ride is our signature ride for adventurers. This 11 mile ride winds it's way through the forest on mountainous trails and decends into the Batesville valley for a lunch stop. This is a full-service restaurant (not a picnic) that offers a wide variety of delicious choices.  After lunch, we remound and head back to the stable. This ride can be customized for extensive trotting and cantering, based on riders ability and experience. Departs 10am daily.

Each ride is suitable for any experience level. Speed is determined by the guide and the ability of the riders.  Reservations are recommended but walkups are welcome. Plan on arriving at lease 15 minutes before your departure time. Please plan on wearing appropriate clothing for the weather and appropriate footwear.
